Can you picture in your minds eye the green coiling lands filled with Fairy people, Dragons and Trolls? Are they purely fictional, as today’s society would characterize? Can you muse it, is it possible,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]! Let your imagination take you on a delightful voyage into the land of faith and fantasy. Magic is something namely namely everywhere; it is a gift from the almighty (however that may be in your particular religious alternatively spiritual route). For me the magic comes from my ancestors, their lands and faiths. That wizardry too comes from the thought that a fairy may be sitting above my porch at this very moment giggling.
Lets take a promenade through the kingdom of Religion and Spirituality. Celtic spirituality has many faces. The Celts of age were obviously what would be termed a Pagan civilization. They were pre-Christian and accordingly there was really nobody another to be merely what we now call Pagan. So did they adore multiple deities or did they simply pay homage and respect to the things of the earth that they could see and the things of the spiritual realm that they could no see? Did they name Gods and Goddesses and put a power or an property to these beings? Or did they simply thank the macrocosm because the trees, land, flows, birds, animals and additional things they needed and used in their daily lives? Is it possible they were Spiritual without being Religious? This gives ascend to numerous differ religious philosophies that are in present use today. In reality, we can not truly understand what was in their minds and centers because they did not quit us a written log to maintain these early days.
The Shamrock was a divine plant of the Druids because its leaves fashioned a triad. Three was a magical and spiritual digit to the ancients for it represented: quondam, present, and hereafter; and sky, world, and underworld, Tír na nóg (The Land of Youth). The explanation of the Shamrock ought have made faultless sense to them, for they saw the number 3 for one integral chapter of their physical and magickal globe.
Another great instance is when St. Patrick introduced the idea of heaven to the early Celtics. They had tales steeped in tradition almost Tír na nóg (the celtic underworld or land of youth). It was considered a jolly area and al
The Irish have been able to successfully integrate some of the ideas and philosophies from the archaic periods into their modern Christian religious philosophies. A grand example of this is St. Patrick’s use of the Shamrock to instruct the pagan Irish about the Trinity. He unraveled the “Father”, “Son” and “Holy Spirit” to them utilizing the national bloom of Ireland. The three petals characterize the tree parts of one God. For the Shamrock are either one petal and 3 petals. Using the imagery invested along the shamrock, St. Patrick was able to show a very visual society the potentiality of one God, Christianity.
Welcome the Way of the Celts, land of fable and fantasy. As we see to the magic and mysticism of the celtic lands, we discover that part of the magic we are drawn to might be the modern interpretation of what the ancient Celtic lands might have been. This is a portrait by modern writers and it is based on supposition. Most of Celtic history is verbal not jotted. This leaves the Emerald Isle of the ancients open to any detection that our hearts, minds and souls see fit to gaze upon.
When you study Ireland’s spirituality, St. Patrick is always argued. Ireland is steeped with tradition. Some traditions are pre-Christian and some Christian. St. Patrick really assisted head Ireland into modern Christianity by “Driving out the Snakes”. This saying basically manner he converted Pagan Ireland to Christianity by silencing Paganism. It is a fascinating correlation as there truly are no snakes in Ireland today. As we can see from modern spirituality, he didn’t actually silence Paganism. Indeed this spiritual path went underground and continued to flourish. Yet a crowd of of these Pagan ideas were secondhand to teach Christianity in the Celtic lands.
